Abstract

Global warming is now one of the most pressing problems in the modern world. Global warming is exacerbated by increased cement output. This may be decreased by using alternative materials with pozolanic characteristics for the cement. At the same time, structural strength is an essential criterion for long-term environmental conditions. This can be accomplished by using materials such as Argo materials (i.e. bagasse ash) and fibres (i.e. steel fibres and polypropylene fibres). The goal of this paper is to investigate the effect on the mechanical properties of concrete when the binder is partially replaced with bagasse ash and hook steel fibres and polypropylene fibres are included at the optimum bagasse ash replacement. Bagasse ash concrete samples with replacement percentages of 5, 10, and 15 were cast for M40 grade. Hooked steel fibres and polypropylene fibres were used in quantities of 0.50 percent to 1.25 percent with a 0.25 percent increase and 0.5 percent to 2% with a 0.5 percent increment, respectively.
