The effects of the spinsterhood phenomenon on spinsters in the urban centers of Thi Qar Governorate ()

Abstract

The study aims to know the effects resulting from the phenomenon of spinsterhood, work to limit its spread and reduce its danger and find appropriate ways and methods to reduce its presence in the urban centers of Thi Qar Governorate located in the southern part of Iraq located astronomically between two latitudes (31° 33 َ 30 ً) and (37° 00 َ 32 ً) north and arcs of length (12° 38 َ 45 ً) and (38° 10 َ 47 ً). The necessity of knowing the effects produced by the phenomenon of spinsterhood in urban centers on the social, psychological and health levels of girls who are late for marriage, using the The quantitative analytical approach in showing the effects of the spinsterhood phenomenon on the spinsters, developing practical solutions to the phenomenon of spinsterhood in urban centers to reach the desired results of the research. The study concluded with a number of results and conclusions, the most important of which is the multiplicity of dimensions and effects of spinsterhood and overlapping each other with each other, and in this he referred to the importance of this phenomenon, which exceeded in its limits the family or familial effects to include the urban society, which is continental with all its social or economic levels, and the psychological and health impact took over the rank The first with a percentage of (59.41)% of the total sample of thestudy.
