From the literature it is evident that with the introduction of sustainable development, there is a shift in the concept of maintenance from simple economic driven production paradigm to sustainable development, which has resulted in a new way of selecting the maintenance activity taking into consideration all three aspects of sustainability i.e. economic, environmental and social aspects.
